Today I learned how to run a batch job in SAS.
This means that I can run a bunch of time consuming programs in the background on my computer for HOURS while I pursue other activities.
In this case, I am watching tv. I don't think I can stand to look at another statistic for at least a few hours. My head hurts.
5 Pearls of Wisdom:
Let it run and go swimming. Or dog parking.
It's impressive how TV can become so delicious. I remember at Oberlin during long breaks when we didn't have enough money to travel, we'd just veg out with a cherry pie, a communal fork, and fall asleep all over each other watching five hours of Friends reruns.
Anyway, I recommend some pie. Probably not the Friends reruns :).
Maybe that Boo could even be in the new slogan.
"Running a batch? Go walking with bitch.""
yes I hate complicated statistics. Dayam they suck!
the simple ones I can deal with (we have a secret agreement, they don't get complicated I treat them nicely)
P.s: just out of curiosity, doesn't your computer become slow with those background programs
A -- It slows down a little, but does absolutely nothing to my internet connection. Yay dual processors! Therefore I can stream netflix and run SAS like it's my job.
