The long road to medical school: Ugh.

Yo. Why can't I get my a$$ in gear this morning? I'm just asking....

Mini-Biography

After graduating in 1999 from the University of Chicago with a degree in Sociology, Old MD Girl started working for what she now refers to as "The Dark Side" -- sales and marketing consulting for pharmaceutical companies. This was not a good fit. A year later, she started a management trainee position at The Industrial Supply Company From Hell. Mercifully, that phase of her life came to an end in 2003, and she had to decide FOR REAL THIS TIME what to do with her life.

Four months later ( That's ~~7 8~~ 9 years ago already!), she started a job doing diabetes health policy research, taking her pre-med classes, and commenced The Long Road to Medical School. Now that she's in medical school, she spends what little free time she has swimming, hanging out with her husband, playing with her dog, and trying to figure out what to do with her life (still).

2) Questions such as, "Am I going to get into medical school?" I don't know. And when you tell me your GPA is a 2.7 my answer will be "Probably not," which you don't want to hear anyway.

3) Questions like, "Should I go to medical school?" How the heck should I know? Only you can answer that question.

4) Questions like, "What kind of post-bac did you do?" I have answered that in detail in previous posts.
